NEW YORK (Reuters) - The United States has produced more than $1.17 trillion worth of M&A deals so far this year, according to finance industry data provider Dealogic.
Private equity has been a major driver of that activity, with U.S. financial sponsor-backed buyouts totaling $291 billion so far this year.
