SEOUL (Reuters) - Following are quotes from the Reuters Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit:

LG Electronics Inc. (066570.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)

Vice-president of LG's appliances business Soon Kwon:

- "There is huge potential for LG for developing the consumer's needs for bigger and better refrigerators. As your income level grows you want to have a bigger luxury refrigerator. In that sense there is a huge potential as the world economy grows and the overall income level grows."

- "We don't see that much fluctuation in the metal price, but copper prices had gone down 2 months ago. However, today the copper prices have gone up again. I think it's going to go up and down for a while but will never go down to the level that we saw 2 years ago. That impacts a lot on our business."

- "We would like to place LG products in every possible store front in the United States... Today LG has close to 5,000 store fronts where LG products are displayed and sold in the States."

- "We want to make LG the most preferred brand in the Indian market. We have made a great success in the growth. However, today we want to invest more money into the brand."

LG Philips LCD Co. Ltd. (034220.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)

Vice-president in charge of TV panel sales Champ Shin:

- "TV panel prices in March-April were likely the lowest throughout the year."

- "The prices will likely be stable for the time being. In the strong season, there's even some chance for a rise."

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (005930.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)

President of digital media division Park Jong-woo

- "The TV business is getting tougher in terms of price."

- "In a growing and a developing country, we need a slightly different strategy. For instance, if you try to sell 50 inch PDP in India and China, it doesn't work. Customers in India, China and Brazil want flat panel TV but at a very affordable price."

- "We have a pretty good structure (in China) but that's not the issue, the issue is price. Even if I cut my price, still there is no way I can compete ... so its very hard to sell at same prices as the local TV makers."  Continued...
