HK shares open below 20,000 for 1st time in a year
HONG KONG, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares will open 2.7 percent lower on Friday, with the main index sinking below 20,000 points for the first time in over a year, after negative U.S. jobless data dampened confidence in a global economic revival.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI was set to open down 555.61 points at 19,833.87.
The China Enterprises Index .HSCE of top locally listed mainland Chinese firms was set to open percent 3.1 lower, tracking a 2.9 percent drop on the Shanghai bourse.
