HK shares fall 9.5 pct as worries spread

HONG KONG, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares extended declines on Friday, falling more than 9.5 percent in line with sharp early losses on European bourses.

Main indexes in London, Germany and France tumbled more than 10 percent on Friday, joining the sell-off in Asian markets.

By 0713 GMT the benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI had slumped 9.6 percent or 1,525.12 points to 14,418.12, its lowest since November 2005.

Only 12 of the 1,088 traded issues were trading higher on Friday.

The China Enterprises Index .HSCE of top locally listed mainland Chinese companies dropped 11 percent to 6,894.98.
