Fuji Heavy says long Boeing strike could hurt
TOKYO, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Japan's Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd (7270.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Monday a prolonged strike at Boeing Co (BA.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) could hurt its aircraft business, which supplies the centre wing box for the 777 and 737 aircraft.
"We do good business, especially for the 777," a spokesman said. "Right now we're waiting for information from Boeing, but if this lasts one, two weeks, it would have some impact."
Fuji Heavy's shares were up 1.5 percent at 614 yen at 0436 GMT, underperforming a 4 percent rise in Tokyo's TOPIX index .TOPX. (Reporting by Chang-Ran Kim)
