UPDATE 1-Tesoro: LA refinery alky unit at full production

HOUSTON, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Tesoro Corp (TSO.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said Friday an alkylation unit at its 100,000 barrel-per-day Los Angeles refinery was back to full production after being shut for repairs.
The alkylation unit was shut for unplanned repairs on Wednesday. The company began restarting the unit on Thursday.
An alkylation unit uses refining byproducts to create high-octane gasoline blending components. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by John Picinich)
