Bets Offered

Overview - SugarHouse Sportsbook offers over 100 bets on NFL, NBA, and soccer games, and well over 50 bets on NHL games. Popular bet types include spreads, moneylines, totals, parlays, round-robins, futures, props, and live bets.

Props - SugarHouse allows bettors to wager on various player and team props. You can bet on whether Ezekiel Elliot will have over/under 100 yards or rushing. You can also bet on what team will be the first to score 10 points in an NFL or NBA matchup. SugarHouse also provides a multitude of additional spread and total bets, so you can bet whatever point spread you determine to be a winner.

Cash-Out Feature - SugarHouse sportsbook offers the cash-out feature. The cash-out feature allows you to amend your original bet and lock in a profit or a loss. You do this by settling your bet early, without having to wait for the event to finish. Knowing you can cash a bet out early incentivizes you to watch every game you bet on, or at least get scoring updates. This feature is available at most other US-regulated sportsbooks, such as DraftKings and FanDuel.

Odds Boosts - SugarHouse gives bettors a chance to bet on upgraded odds by offering odds boosts. For example, SugarHouse might increase the betting odds on Aaron Rodgers throwing three touchdowns from +160 to +210. SugarHouse offers odds boosts daily, encouraging bettors to re-check lines.

Live Betting

SugarHouse excels at live betting, offering a ton of bets, live streaming, and other excellent features.

Live Streaming: SugarHouse, like FanDuel, is one of a few sportsbooks that allow users to stream games live from their phones. Tennis and soccer are the only sports that currently offer this feature, although I'm sure SugarHouse intends to add more sports.

Live Bets: SugarHouse is one of a few sportsbooks to offer drive-by-drive betting on NFL games and pitch-by-pitch betting on MLB games. If you think Tom Brady is poised to lead the Patriots to a touchdown next drive, bet on it. If you think Miguel Cabrera is going to hit a single on a 2-2 pitch count, bet on it.

Live Match Tracker: SugarHouse offers a match tracker for live betting sports such as football, basketball, hockey, and soccer. The match tracker has a live clock, displays the score by quarter, and even shows which team is attacking in real-time. For NFL games, the match tracker also lists the last play, the total plays, and yards on the drive, and the down and distance.

Customer Service

SugarHouse offers daily live chat support from 9:30 am – 2:00 am and email support that responds within a day or two. The employees are all friendly and do their best to support customers. Phone support is available at (855) 752-9101.

SugarHouse Sportsbook App

The mobile app SugarHouse Sportsbook offers, available on all Android and iPhone phones, is decent. Navigating through different sports and betting types is simple, and having a constant live chat bubble available is convenient. I didn't experience any lag or design flaws when testing on my iPhone 7 and iPad. My only complaint with the app is that when users select the help center, they are redirected to SugarHouse's website, instead of having something dedicated in-app. I also dislike the constant promotions of casino games on the sports betting side of the app. The SugarHouse Sportsbook app also houses all SugarHouse casino games.

Education and Statistics

Education: SugarHouse offers bettors some primary education on how to read odds, bet on sports, place a bet, etc. The knowledge will help first-time bettors, without making them feel they're in over their heads. Aside from education, SugarHouse does not offer any additional news articles or video tutorials.

Statistics: In terms of pre-game statistics, SugarHouse offers some basic head-to-head stats, and a couple live statistics. Pictures of these statistics can be seen below.

Rush Street Gaming, the parent company of SugarHouse, is privately held and owns and operates multiple casinos. The technology for the sportsbook is powered by Kambi, which is one of the largest providers of sportsbooks in Europe. SugarHouse has had no issues in its first year of operation.

Other Notes - Promotions

SugarHouse has a couple of ongoing promotions, as well as an initial 100% deposit match up to $250. This promotion is exceptional since it only has a 1X rollover. The promotions outside of the 100% match are nothing to brag about. If you enjoy a lot of smaller weekly promotions, checkout other sportsbooks such as FOX Bet.

Final Thoughts

SugarHouse continues to remain a great option for first-time and experienced sports bettors. The variety of sports and bets, exceptional live betting, and mobile app make SugarHouse worth considering.

For’s annual best online sportsbooks review, we collected more than 36,000 data points over five months from 20 sportsbooks that serve 11 states where full-scale mobile betting is legalized. Hundreds of hours were spent testing and scoring each sportsbook (mobile and online/desktop) in seven core categories: sports and bets offered, odds, live betting, mobile betting, education, ease of use, and bonuses and promotions. The results determined each sportsbook’s overall rating.

Data from more than 1,700 bets (including moneyline, spread and total bets) was used to generate each sportsbook’s comparative odds ranking. Leagues and bet types collected include NCAA football moneyline bets, NCAA basketball moneyline bets, NFL moneyline, spread and total bets, NBA spread, moneyline and total bets, NHL moneyline, puckline and total bets, and soccer 3-way result (moneyline) bets. When collecting odds, we made sure to collect the same games at the same time for each sportsbook, ensuring data accuracy.

About’s chief sportsbook researcher, Joey Shadeck: I’ve been a hobby sports bettor for more than six years, placing hundreds of bets on my favorite sports (football, basketball, MMA) and teams (Packers, Spartans, and whoever is playing the Lions). Beyond sports betting, I’m known for saying “Wanna bet on it?” in almost any situation and that is how I found out I can eat 42 chicken nuggets in less than 20 minutes.

As of February 2021, 22 different states have legalized sports betting to some capacity. Of those 22 states, the following 11 have legalized full-scale mobile betting: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada (must register in-person), New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia.
